Magellan is a one-stop, confidential resource that offers consultation, information and personalized community referrals 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for you and your family - at no cost to you. You and your eligible dependents may receive up to 5 visits with an EAP counselor per issue. When stress and pressures throw your life out of balance, Magellan can help with addiction and recovery, emotional well-being, and work issues. Virtual Therapy

Through your program, you and your family have access to virtual therapy sessions, provided by BetterHelp, at no cost to you, as described above. You can choose from one of four modalities: text messaging exchange over a week, live phone session, live video session or live chat session. You can also toggle between modalities while in therapy. For example, you can choose to chat with a therapist online one week and schedule a video session the next week. Click here for more information.

Legal & Financial Services

Balancing the needs of your family with your job responsibilities isn’t easy. It can be particularly difficult if you have a legal or financial issue and you are not sure where to turn for help. You can receive up to one 60-minute telephone or face-to-face consultation, per issue, with an attorney on any type of legal matter. If services beyond the initial 60-minute consultation are needed, members will receive a 25% discount off of the attorney’s hourly fee.

The Magellan EAP also offers members one 60-minute telephone consultation with a financial counselor on issues such as budgeting, debt consolidation, loans, mortgage assistance, retirement, saving for college, IRS matters and other financial topics.

In addition to the consultation services, Magellan offers many other tools and resources online. These resources include articles and guides, legal and financial frequently asked questions answered by professional experts, financial calculators and estimator tools, legal and financial forms based on specific topics and interactive legal forms such as wills that may be completed and saved online.
