Time Away From Work

Eligible employees receive paid time off based on the below schedule. Vacation and sick time does not rollover from one calendar year to the next.


Vacation Time

Eligible employees are awarded vacation as follows:

Years of Service Vacation Award
1st calendar year Pro-Rated
1-4 years 10 days (80 hours)
5-8 years 15 days (120 hours)
9-23 years 20 days (160 hours)
24+ years 25 days (200 hours)

Sick Time

For eligible employees, the full annual sick time balance for your location is front-loaded on January 1st of each year, and pro-rated for new hires.

Chicago 60 hours frontloaded (up to 80 hours carry over), per Chicago Paid Sick and Safe Leave Ordinance

Pueblo

Denver

Colorado Springs

48 hours, per Colorado Healthy Families & Workplaces Act
Minot 24 hours

Additionally, Colorado employees observe sick time under the Colorado Healthy Families & Workplaces Act.

Leave of Absence

EVRAZ complies with all state and federal laws relating to legally protected absences and offers you time off for a variety of reasons, including: 

  • Serious illness or injury; 
  • Serious illness in your immediate family;
  • Disability or death of a family member;
  • Military Service

You can contact The Standard by calling 866.756.8116 or report your leave on-line by visiting www. standard.com and choosing Report an  absence from the bottom right area of the home page. On the next page, select Log in to Report an Absence; a new window will open to  begin the process. You will be asked to provide the following information:

Company ID:                     EVRAZ

Username:                         Your last name and the last four digits of your Social Security Number (e.g. smith1234)

Password:                          If this is your first time reporting an absence, you will enter the word “password” as your password.

You will then be prompted to choose a personal password.

All employees must have pre-approval for non-FMLA Leaves of Absence.
